Coaching Partnership

Coaching Partners

Centurion Chess Club is starting an exciting drive to partner with chess coaches in the greater Centurion area in a win-win relationship

Who is Eligible to be a coaching partner:

Any coach (defined by someone who is teaching two or more non-family members to play chess and have been doing so for more than a year)

The Centurion Chess Club Committee reserves the right to limit the number of coaches, should it believe a limit is reached (likely 4 or 5) no more coaches will be added, until existing ones leave. It will work on a first come first served basis.

Commitment from the coaching partner:

If you agree to become a Centurion Chess Club coaching partner you need to agree to:

  • Frequently attend Centurion Chess Club evenings and participate

  • Encourage your students to belong to Centurion Chess Club

  • Encourage your students to attend and participate in Chess Club evenings

  • Sponsor your club membership - in other words no payment required

  • Will add a photo and short bio that you provide to our website

  • Will refer anyone that is interested in your coaching services to you

(Note that the club will not provide your contact details on the website, but will do so on requests received by members)

How to partner

  • Send us an email at chessclubcenturion@gmail.com indicating your desire

  • Frequently visit the club and participate for at least one month (frequently means on average at least every second week)

  • Provide a suitable photo and short bio - including your target coaching audience and we will add you to the website

(Note that should you no longer visit the club (without arranging with the committee) or should there be concerns raised around your fitness to coach it remains the prerogative of the Centurion Chess Club committee to remove you from the website without following any process - as we need to protect our brand at all times - you may appeal and discuss with the committee should you wish to be re-instated.)
